Embryos and Fetuses of Animals
These intensive photographic insights were only possible in historical collections of natural history museums, as well as in veterinary institutes. The specimens often spent decades and even longer in dark archives. We wanted to take the existence of these collections as a chance bringing the individuals back to light. The conserved bodies are in a kind of floating condition and in fact in their prenatal element: liquid. They are not alive, but they haven’t lost their magic and charisma at all. They exist – peaceful at a safe place.
